I picked up my first book for college yesterday. It's for my honors english class... "The Black Jacobins," OH. I JUST GOT THE TITLE. lol well remember how I was like, "I wish I was studying the French Revolution!"? Yeah, well I just realized now that the revolting party was called the "Jacobins" in France during the Revolution. Hence a book about the Haitian Revolution being called "The Black Jacobins," because they were escaping French rule.

Wow, I'm thick sometimes. It rang a bell with me when I picked it up, but I didn't really give it any though. I'm kind of excited though, because Napoleon was a general, and I love reading about him.

I just spent $352 on textbooks for college. There was a while when I thought I'd be able to manage in college financially, and then I saw this (and though it's cheaper than most sets, [thank GOD for half.com]) and I'm just like "ohhhh well...." It's so much!!! Gahhh.

Also, my English class is going to consist of studying the Haitian Revolution and the involvement of Toussaint L'overture... I dunno. I kind of wish it could be the French Revolution or American colonialism if anything, but whatever.

Furthermore, I am really excited for my Astronomy course... It is one of my only non-honors courses (the other is req. communications), so the class size is like 120 or something and of course it will be in a lecture hall. I dunno what the entire thing entails though! I hear it involves a lot of complicated mathematics, so I guess that'll make me happy in some aspects because I like using brainpower but at the same time.... lol I thought it was gunna be like the course in Harry Potter hahahahahaha x)

Errrrrrm I agreed to play Claire de Lune at baccalaureate and now I am SEVERELY regretting this. I can play it well... but idk why I didn't think it through that the church would probably be packed with people from all the different schools in the area and their parents. I'm reallllllly hoping the piano is in some out of the way area and not like center stage. Because if it is then I will shoot myself! :D

I am so not ready for my calc exam at all. But I am so ready for the day following it. :3

There's been so much to do lately, I feel like I am rotting from all of the stuff. Like, actually, I guess there isn't a whole ton to do, but there is just so much going on that I feel exhausted and it's as if I have a mountain on my shoulders. I mean, really! I can feel it right now!! I wish I would write in here more. It's stupid that I don't because I look at it multiple times a day. Hrrm idk, idk, what to do, what to do... I need to start writing in my private journal! I didn't because I discovered I was superstitious and believed that if I wrote about DIego in there it wouldn't work out because that's how it was with like every other guy. Well just like with every other guy, it didn't work out... but I didn't write about Diego in my journal, so that's a ++++ because now I can go and write in it regularly about my lyfe without freaking out.

Umm herm. ione. This summer should be really kick ass because I won't have ANYTHING to worry about sans college stuff... but I think the worrying about college stuff will be way more fun and exciting than stressful. Off the top of my head I can't even really think of anything that I should be worrying about. The summer assignment, maybe (there is always one... right?). But yay

oh yeah I'm in UCF's honors college so go me for working my ass off in high school because it evidently paid off.

Didn't get my acceptance letter, and that's probably because my guidance councilor didn't do the required recommendation until Friday. So . . yeah, blah. Another week of waiting I guess.

My dad's birthday is tomorrow! woohoo!!!

AP calc is going to be the death of me.

My best friend for the next 3 quarters. But really, I do love the Princeton Review. I think the writers are so comical and witty!

Oh, oh! After two weeks of coming in early everyday, I finally understand Calculus again! What I like about this school year most of all is that this is what it is like:

relationship < education, friends

I have no interest in anyone (or at least no one worth pursuing), so everything else is better as a consequence. I like it though :o

Yay, I like my life, except I think I might be spending too much time studying now. :C

sorry for that angsty post . . I think I was just having an off day or something. The FE is awesome and I can't even tell the difference between before they knew and after so it's all good.

Our homecoming this year is Halloween themed so all the candidates are doing a who-done-it thing and we all have to pick a persona. I don't know what to be . . I was thinking like Peter Pan or something but idk. Suggestions as to a very super awesome character??

lol I love procrastination so I don't have to do homework. But how strange, I have to do two powerpoint presentations and another project, all three are group projects and I'm stuck with most of the work. At least on of my 9 partners in History sent me some stuff to put on the slide show . . . ?

Robby apologized to me. It was nice and sweet and all, but I am not going to like . . yeah. Never again. If anything happens between us it's going to be strictly friends with benefits. Yeah, he is just too hot for his own good and it's definitely going to his head. But he realized I think that being a total asshole isn't going to get him anywhere. BREAKTHROUGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

yaa so yesterday was the first day of school and we already have a day off today because of Tropical Storm Fay! Kind of pissed off about it . . but I get to put off my biology homework another day. Oh yeah but I have to read zee Iliad so I'm like ug ;____;

1. AICE U.S. History - um Mr. Hillman seems really cool. I don't like the fact that the AICE test is like 6 essays or something rediculous like that, but whatever! I'll deal. OH LOL LOL LOL SO Mr. Hillman was talking about how some kid failed the AICE U.S. History exam when he shouldn't have and got a 4 on the AP Gov exam. And some kid was like "4 out of what?" and like 8 kids turned and looked at him (including myself; he was in the corner in the back) and said "5" with some extra things tacked on like "are you seroius/stupid?" hahahahahah and he was like, "How was I supposed to know!?"

UM. UM YEAH.

2. AP Calc - Mrs. Billings is TOTALLY ADHD, and it's really hard to follow her. Honami and I ended up sitting right next to each other (Nakada, Peterson) so that's good . . she knows all the graphs and everything but she can't understand Mrs. Billings. Uhm. Neither can I.

3. Symphonic Band - BLAH I NEED REEDS. Ya all I'm going to say.

4. Literature and the Arts - Mrs. Byrnes is fucking amazing. Love her so much . . but ya not looking forward to reading the Iliad. Homer, I hate you.

5. AP Music Theory - this class is so cool! Shane, Honami and I sit in the back and it was awesome because Honami understood for the first time that day most of what was going on! :D Our homework was really easy . . hahaha

6. AICE Bio - right now, I'm wondering if I should take the AS level or the A level. If I do A level, then I can get two points for my Cambridge diploma, which would be pretty sweet . . this reminds me I have to talk to Ms. Moore about taking the English tests so I can get the diploma. But yeah, Mrs. Heflick is so cool, I forgot how much I loved her haha

7. Spanish 3 + 4 - I like this class and I understood what Señor Madden was saying for the first 15 minutes of class! I talked to him after class and explained that I was concerned on my skill level in Spanish because I didn't think I had a firm grasp on the ideas taught in Spanish 2. He was really awesome though and said he would help me and try and get me on the right track to fluency in the language, which I have decided is what I want (only because it would be one more language I knew xD).

Oh and no school tomorrow, just found out. ;____;

Wow . . I can hardly believe that there is only a week left before school starts. I am kind of in a state of mind right now where it isn't really bothering me that much, but at the same time I'm extremely anxious about it. It doesn't really make much sense but that's kind of the only way I can describe my attitude towards it.

And I just realized I need to practice my clarinet, go get new reeds, finish my room, finish physics and finish cleaning everywhere before I go back to school. I am guessing that I probably won't be able to finish my economics (which is a little depressing), but I will get it done eventually.

Oh yeah! Honami and I are going to do vlogs on youtube in order to let her friends know how things are going over here because she said they won't have a lot of time to answer e-mails due to studying so much. But yeah, this is my introduction one:
under the cut! )

It's a little saddening to know that once I finally can scrap my Summer {to do} list, school will be starting. I wish I would've finished everything sooner :/

Chicken Dinner tomorrow! Band camp is almost over!! We got released early today because there were massive ominous clouds looming on the horizon, but it's all good. I wonder how the performance will be? I wish percussion had our second song, but I guess Bobby hasn't been able to finish by the deadline, so we've just been working the opener for seven hours a day. At least the band gets to sing and have some variety!

omg!
Oh my god! Every single time I go into my online Physics course to take a test, it locks me out of it and says I've already taken it (or something). The problem is that this time, it was the semester exam and I am really frustrated because I really wanted to stay up until 3 and finish the god damned thing by the end of monday morning. I guess that's not happening. :/

Just a little while ago, I arrived home from seeing the third (and hopefully last? This series was only a trilogy, right?) Mummy movie. It was extremely horrible. Jerrica and I tried to leave the movie, but we had to go back in due to the fact that it's sunday and nothing is open past nine o'clock. The movie was seriously terrible . . I don't think I've walked out on a movie in a couple of years at least, so this was pretty monumental.

The last week of band camp starts tomorrow! I'm so happy it's going to be the last band camp, (complete non sequitur) as well as the fact that it seems as if my circle of friends is growing a little more close together. While it hasn't happened yet (i.e. Sara isn't commenting on Adrienne's myspace), I feel that it will eventually happen because of Honami . . which, actually, I think is a good thing. Adrienne went to Europe and came back, hmmm. How do I put it? Not a total bitch! I don't think we've really bickered since before she left? Which is, might I say, amazing! Usually you can't shut the two of us up . . hmm. But even if this whole lessening of the radius of my circle of friends doesn't occur, they are still going to have to suffer through at least three hours together, because Honami's "get to know my friends" party is on the day before school starts. x)

Hmm . . I came on here thinking I had nothing to write about and actually wrote more than I have in quite a while. Sweet.

My senior year schedule is:

1. AICE U.S. History
2. AP Calculus AB
3. Symphonic Band
4. AICE Classical Studies (subject to change . . like the course won't be classical studies anymore?)
5. AP Music Theory
6. AICE Biology
7. Pre-AICE Spanish 2 . . which I guess is Spanish 3 + 4 together, so I'm not repeating a level of the language.

yay, glad to get that out of the way! :)

I got a RL journal so I can write things that don't sound dodgy and I don't have to work around friend locking and stuff. Of course, this doesn't mean that I will stop writing in here, no not at all! Just hopefully a lot of the angst will be deterred due to this new journal . . !

OH! And I've started looking at college applications. I haven't started filling any out (I probably won't until mid August) yet, but it's just interesting to look at the different formats of the various colleges. Yeah, I'm really lame.
