I never really do this, but I want to get my flist into Perfume as well! So I'm going to review their new album, ⊿, pronounced "Triangle." So without further ado:

Gahhh I love Perfume so much, their music is SO GOOD.

Why couldn't I have been born and raised in Japan or Korea? They are much more focused on life than Americans ;____;

Has anyone on here ever watched/read "Nodame Cantabile?" If so, what are your thoughts/opinions on it?

I don't know why I'm doing this but I have some time to kill before Odyssey of the Mind so I was kind of compelled to make a list of all the foreign artists I like.

It's not finished yet as I need to go to Odyssey of the Mind. Everything is really in order of my favorites to least favorite, except Flight of the Conchords. They should be pretty high up there and they're not.

6th overall, 6th overall percussion, 1st in class woodwinds, 3rd in class overall, superior in every category and a superior with distinction in percussion! Out of 25 bands, I was REALLY happy! Competition was so exciting, it was like mini-drum corps! So awesome!! All of the other bands were at there like 5th competition and we were at are first and only. I think we were the only non-competitive marching band there rofl

omfg I wish that I could just spend a summer in Tokyo by myself and not have to do any work or anything. This is what I think of when I listen to new music from Japan.

I don't have much to report because my life has been consumed by band lately. Competition is tomorrow so yay! so excited for that . . we've been working super hard and I think we could pull it off and end in the top 3!

Seriously thinking about going on foreign exchange to Japan this upcoming summer for 3 months. It would be my graduation present from my extended family . . but it costs $7,900 and I still need to go to college right after I get back from it if I do go.

I need to sit down and seriously think about what it is that would need to be done for this to actually happen, but I'm 100% sure that if I really wanted it to happen, it would.

Also! My icon is Matthew Mitchum winning the gold with an AMAZING dive. He's also the only openly gay athlete at the Olympic games! He was amazing and you guys need to watch his dives and as he overtook China!! Go look!!

Wow . . I can hardly believe that there is only a week left before school starts. I am kind of in a state of mind right now where it isn't really bothering me that much, but at the same time I'm extremely anxious about it. It doesn't really make much sense but that's kind of the only way I can describe my attitude towards it.

And I just realized I need to practice my clarinet, go get new reeds, finish my room, finish physics and finish cleaning everywhere before I go back to school. I am guessing that I probably won't be able to finish my economics (which is a little depressing), but I will get it done eventually.

Oh yeah! Honami and I are going to do vlogs on youtube in order to let her friends know how things are going over here because she said they won't have a lot of time to answer e-mails due to studying so much. But yeah, this is my introduction one:

The Ponyo soundtrack is so adorable! It's really amazing . . I love how it sounds and I love the chorus that Mr. Hisaishi inserts at times. I really can't wait for this movie to come to the U.S. because it's going to be such a cute movie!! I can tell that I'll really like it.

So you know when you get annoyed with a foreign language because you're limited to what you can say/write? Well, yeah . . I love love love Japanese, don't get me wrong, but it's really annoying that when I'm writing or talking, I have to start a new sentence every time I want to say I did something . . and things like "I sat down and relaxed" are impossible for me to say right now because it has two action verbs in the sentence.

hahaha love it.

Oh yeah, and I hate no-furigana (hiragana pronunciation key above/to the side of kanji) on kanji. Honami sent me her birth certificate, but for whatever reason her birthday year isn't "1990," it's "3". So I have been trying to figure out what the kanji in front of the 3 was, but yeah. There is no furigana so I can't look it up hahaha

EDIT: Her birthday is in 1991, and the 3 represents the third year of the Heisei era . . my friend Ami helped me out with that one. I've just about translated the entire birth certificate too, so I'm pretty happy. Oh! And thank you karnimani1990! :)

okay, so I am doing a new layout . . I am making it myself because I think custom layouts look cool~!!

I've decided on a Japanese name:  ヒサシ (Hisashi). I really like it a lot, and it means "long-lived." It just now is occurring to me that my favourite composer goes by that as his surname. But I am using it for my first name!

I was thinking maybe サトシ (Satoshi), however, that is the same name as the main character in Pokémon (Ash, over here), so I decided against it. It means "quick-witted."

Day 3 of "OMG FUCK" week is over . . as well as the AP Government Exam. It was awesome because there was one essay question that I had NO IDEA to except that it might involve a fiscal year and so I guessed on the entire thing. Even on what monetary policy was (which I had never ever, EVER heard of in my life before) and guess what? I was basically exactly on the mark! I even wrote about inflation in monetary police . . and that was totally a complete guess! AGDFSLKFJS:LKJF I was so happy XD

Soooooo Wednesday I have Clarinet Auditions and I haven't practiced at all.

Thursday is my AP Lit exam and my Japanese Examination. Friday is a big ol' ass Humanities test. As well as a Spanish test and a two day pre-calculus test on Thursday and Friday.
